Is there going to be an annoucement made soon that Carl Froch vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will happen? "The Cobra" Froch is feeling highly optomistic that the fight will indeed be announced shortly.
Quoted on Sky Sports, regarding a fight vs. Chavez Jr., Froch stated: "Dare I say it, but we're nearly there with the Chavez fight in Las Vegas which we've long talked about."
Froch went to add to the publication:
"After knocking out (George) Groves I was instantly talking about the Chavez fight happening. It's nearly there and I'm very optimistic that Eddie Hearn (Froch's promoter) will be making an announcement very soon."
For me, this is not a dream fight, but one I'd certainly like to see. I for one would not mind hearing that this fight has been made.
