According to Oscar De La Hoya, via his very own personal media site, Ring, the boxing promoter is confirming that his company, Golden Boy Promotions has signed Mercito Gesta (27 years of age from the Philippines) and Yoshihiro Kamegai (32 years of age from Japan) are to exclusive promotional contracts.
Regarding his latest acquisitions, De La Hoya stated on his media site: "I’m excited to kick off 2015 with the addition of these talented fighters to the Golden Boy roster. Each of these fighters have the talent, skill, determination and desire that it takes to make it to the top."
Gesta has a professional record of 28-1-1, 16 KOs. Kamegai has a record of 25-2-1, 22 KOs.
