In a new video released by TMZ, Adrien Broner had a message for rap mogul and boxing promoter, Jay-Z. You can view the full video embedded on the left hand side of this page.
Broner states: "They sent an email. Jay- Z didn't do it literally. They shot an email and I wasn't happy with it. The capacity of the contract was $40 million for five years and that's bullsh*t. It is what it is."
"At the end of the day I felt disrespected. If you're going to come to me and say I'm going to fight twice a year and get eight million a year for five years straight. You got me f***d up."
Broner added: "I'm not old. I'm scheduled to fight four times this year. I wanted to tell him and hopefully this gets to him - stop sending your workers to talk to me. I'm a boss and bosses talk to bosses."
My thoughts and feelings on all this...
Does anyone really think Broner is worth $40 million over the course of 5 years?! This is the guy who was brutally defeated by Marcos Maidana - with that loss, his career has tanked super fast and I doubt he will make $40 million over the course of his career, nevermind the next 5 years. Broner thinks he is a boss? Ok, that part had me laughing. Bottom line, Roc Nation would look foolish offering Broner that kind of cash... that would be like flushing money down a toilet... something we all know Broner likes to do.
And here is a message posted on YouTube from a Fan: kmod73 posted this message on TMZ's YouTube video page: Can someone pls ask this fool what color is the sky in his world? Lol. The sad part is he actually believes he's as good as Mayweather. He's not his own boss (neither is Floyd Mayweather) and he's not undefeated. If you don't like the offer then negotiate like a man & a boss instead of cryin on social media like a child. Roc Nation obviously thinks your talented which is why they want to sign you so why piss in their face?? They just signed Andre Ward who some consider the best p4p boxer so take it as a compliment and if you don't like it move on. This child is a talented boxer & has potential but he's coming across as trying way too hard and his act is getting old.
