Kell Brook is set to return to action. Brook will make the first defence of his world welterweight title (which he won off Shawn Porter) this coming March.
What else is known...
The fight will happen at Motorpoint Arena.
What is not known at this time...
Brook's return will come against T.B.A. (to be announced). According to his promoter, Brook's opponent will be named on Monday.
Hearn also confirms that
a media conference is set for Jan. 19 - more details will be provided on that date, such as who he'll be fighting and exactly what day the match will go down in the month of March.
Chances are that the fight they want, Amir Khan will not be the fighter announced to face Brook. But hey, that shouldn't stop you from dreaming and hoping.
This will be Brook's first return to the ring after suffering a horrible knife attack in Tenerife, Spain. Brook had suffered such a terrible open wound and lost so much blood... it's a miracle he'll be back so soon... but that is a good thing and we wish him the best on his return to the ring.
