Huge TV Numbers for Brandon Rios vs. Mike Alvarado 3 - Big Audience Tunes into HBO Boxing Telecast By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing (Jan 27, 2015) TweetFollow @DoghouseBoxing
According to Nielsen Media Research, this past Saturday night's boxing card that featured Brandon Rios (TKO 3) vs. Mike Alvarado secured huge TV viewership numbers for HBO Boxing.
In their rubber match (the third time they have faced one another) Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado averaged 1,252,000 TV viewers. Wow, now those are impressive numbers for sure.
The TV audience peaked at 1,316,000 viewers. One can only imagine that number would have gone even higher... had Rios not made such a short night out of it (but who can blame him!?)
The TV opening bout that featured Gilberto Ramirez vs. Maxim Vlasov started the telecast off strong by averaging 820,000 viewers.
The fight (Ramirez vs. Vlasov) would go on to peak at 946,000 TV viewers.
