It is perhaps best that if you are going away for the weekend, then you should not post that information on social media. The lesson could be learned the hard way, as is the case with retired boxing star, Ricky Hatton.
Apparently Hatton took to social media (twitter) and made it public that he was going to be away for the weekend. Enter thieves - who read the information and took charge by
ransacking Hatton's place of residency.
According to pulished reports, the crooks smashed a window to gain enterance to Hatton's dwelling. Some of the items reported to be missing, 2 Rolex watches (and Rolex's are never cheap), some credit cards and reportedly also a large some of money (no report on how much money was taken).
Hatton is devistated with the buglary and stated through media outlets: "It makes you feel gutted that someone can do this to you. Anyone with information should get onto the police as soon as possible because I’ve put up a reward."
No indication as of yet as to what that reward might be.
The lesson here... don't post information on Social media that crooks can gleam and use against you.
