In a recent interview with NJ Advance Media, "Iron" Mike Tyson explained why he believes Manny Pacquiao will defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr. when the two face off on May 2nd.
Tyson told the media publication: "Floyd can't fight the way he's been fighting to win if he fights Pacquiao. He has to go forward and throw punches."
Tyson went on to explain:
"Pacquiao throws over 100 punches a round. Floyd, from his last fight, threw 38 punches a round, so it's going to be very difficult for him."
Tyson also feels the way Mayweather Jr. likes to fight off the ropes will not work against Pacquiao.
"He can't be on the ropes against a guy like that. It's not going to work out. It's not going to work out," explained Tyson.
Tyson would not rule out a victory for Mayweather, but is picking Pacquiao to win.
"I like Pacquiao, but I'm not saying Floyd can't win, stated Tyson, adding: "He's got to change the way he's fighting."
