Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight in jeopardy!? TMT's CEO Ellerbe speaks out... By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing (April 10, 2015) TweetFollow @DoghouseBoxing
Earlier this week, it seemed there was cracks in the pavement showing up for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. Bob Arum (Top Rank / Team Pacquiao) was complaining that he had yet to receive the tickets he was promised or the hotel accommodations. This led to speculation that the fight was in jeopardy.
So is the fight actually at risk of falling apart? No so fast says CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe.
Quoted by the Las Vegas
Sun Review, Ellerbe confirmed to the publication: "The fight’s not in jeopardy."
Ellerbe also confirmed that the boxing tickets Arum was angry over had just been delivered.
Ellerbe told the publication:
"The tickets were physically just delivered to the MGM today. Bob’s going to get his tickets and his hotel rooms. That’s all been specified in the contract as to how many tickets and rooms Top Rank and Pacquiao gets, how many tickets and rooms Floyd gets and how many tickets the MGM gets. Bob knows that.”
Well, the good news is the fight is still on. For all of us reading this... that's the only news we want to hear.
