On the undercard for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Marcos Maidana, after defeating Carlos Molina (17-2-1, 13 KOs) by way of a unanimous decision, Adrien Broner (28-1, 22 KO) called out Manny Pacquiao.
The scores from ringside after 10 rounds: 99-91,98-92,100-90. The fight went down at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas and was televised by SHOWTIME PPV.
Broner in his debut in the 140-pound division, called his fight with Molina "a sparring match" - that was met with loud boos from the crowd. Broner was often sloppy through out the fight and did nothing crowd pleasing - the crowd was very vocal in letting Broner know they had no appreciation for him.
Molina was no easy fight for Broner. When talking with SHOWTIME's Jim Gray after the fight, Broner never thanked God, and went on to act like his usual classless fool routine. Gray schooled Broner by pointing it out that he was being disrespectful. Broner like the child he comes across, toned it down after that, but went on to call out Manny Pacquiao.
“I feel good. It was a comeback fight,” Broner said. “I shook the cobwebs, looked good and got the victory."
Broner added: “At the end of the day, I don’t make my fights. I’ll fight anybody. I’d like to fight (Manny) Pacquiao before he leaves.”
