Saul Alvarez: "Losing to Floyd Mayweather is not an Option, I expect to Win and Celebrate with my Mexican People" By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing (May 30, 2013) TweetFollow @DoghouseBoxing
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Saul Alvarez is on. The news broke late last night and you can bet it will be the hot topic for the day. Rightfully so, I might add. "Money" Mayweather Jr. first broke the news via his twitter page. The fight is set for Sept. 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (televised on SHOWTIME - PPV).
For "Canelo", the young and extremely popular Mexican fighter, the fight is an honor and he vows that losing to "Money" is not an option.
"It's a great satisfaction and a great honor to be fighting on this date and to have the Mexicans behind me on such an important day," Alvarez stated on ESPN, adding: "Losing is not an option to me. I am expecting to win and then to be celebrating afterwards with all of my Mexican people."
