A rift between Oscar De La Hoya and his former CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, Richard Schaefer has played out in recent times in the media. If things didn't look pretty betten the two, it's going to get even uglier. According to a report by ESPN, De La Hoya is suing Schaefer to a tune of $50 million! (I don't know about you, but where I am from, that is big money!)
Reported by ESPN, Golden Boy has filed an arbitration for $50 mil in damages against Schaefer.
Regarding the suit filed against him, Schaefer quoted on ESPN, stated: "I have no comment. I'm not going to talk about it."
Well, no one can blame Schaefer for not wanting to talk about this one.
