It seems the WBO is ready to strip Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. of their title. Mayweather won the WBO welterweight strap when he defeated Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao with a unanimous decision victory.
Now according to reports, the WBO organization is set to withdraw its title recognition of Mayweather because he has failed to comply with a Friday deadline (4:30 p.m. ET) to pay up the sanctioning fees.
To keep the title, Mayweather needed to pay the WBO a $200,000 sanctioning fee from his battle vs. Pacquiao. The deadline came today and no money from Mayweather was submitted.
In other headlines, both Mayweather and Pacquiao have gotten into a heated war of words. Check out the links below for more details.
