On Saturday night in boxing action, in what is being called a controversial decision, the W.B.A. "regular" lightweight champ Darleys Perez kept his titles after securing a 12 round draw vs. Anthony Crolla.
The fight seemed like it was heading for Crolla on the scorecards. The ref (Howard Foster) deducted points from Perez for low blows in the 11th and final round, 12.
The three judges at ringside scored the fight, 116-111 for Crolla, 114-113 for Perez and 113-113.
With the draw, Darleys Perez's record now stands at 33-1, 20 KOs. Anthony Crolla's record 29-5-2, 11 KOs.
The action went down at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.
