There are 3 venues being kicked around for Cotto vs. Canelo. Two in Las Vegas and one venue in New York.
The venues in the running are New York's Madison Square Garden and two from Las Vegas Nevada in MGM Grand and Thomas & Mack Center.
The two front runners to host Cotto vs. Canelo are the venues in Vegas, MGM Grand and
Thomas & Mack Center.
Should the MGM Grand win the rights to host the battle, then the preferred date is reported to be Nov. 7. If Thomas & Mack Center are awarded the event, then Nov. 21 is the date being kicked around.
The fight, no matter where it ends up, will be televised by HBO-PPV.
