It was over in two rounds. On Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, featured on the Danny Garcia vs. Paulie Malignaggi undercard, Daniel Jacobs stopped Sergio Mora in the second round.
Both fighters survived knock downs in the first round. In the second round, Jacobs had Mora up against the ropes and utilizing a well placed right hand, Jacobs dropped Mora. Mora's left leg got injured in the fall.
It was obvious the injury Mora sustained was not going to allow him to continue. Referee Gary Rosato stopped the fight at this point, giving Jacobs' a TKO victory.
With the win, Jacobs professional record now stands at 30-1, 27 KO. Mora's record drops to 28-4-2, 9 KO.
