On Saturday night in middleweight action, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Daniel Jacobs defated Sergio Mora by TKO in the second round when an injury from knockdown hurt Mora's leg. According to Mora, his left leg is broken.
Shorty after the fight was stopped, Mora spoke out on his injury.
Mora knows his leg is broken, stating: "I know it's broken. I heard it pop."
The fight was heating up good and the action started heavy in the first round with both fighters hitting the canvas. The freak injury in the second round put a quick halt to what was shaping up to be a great fight.
For his part, Mora wants a rematch. "I told you I came here to fight. I give him credit, but I came to take this championship," stated Mora, adding: "I want a rematch."
