Most people agree and believe that Floyd Mayweather Jr's next fight will come against Amir Khan. (It's not as if Mayweather would give fans what they want and fight Manny Pacquiao next.) Is Khan even worthy? Many and perhaps most would argue that he is not. Kell Brook's trainer believes Khan should fight his fighter first and let the winner chase Mayweather Jr.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Brook's trainer Dominic Ingle stated: "I know Khan is chasing Mayweather but we need Khan before he gets to Mayweather, basically."
Ingle went on to add: "That's the big fight and if Kell gets rid of Khan he's got to be a legitimate opponent for Floyd Mayweather."
Right now,
Kell Brook is nursing his stab wound from an attack at a night club last month in Tenerife (Spain). Brook doesn't plan on letting his wound keep him out of the ring for long. Brook recently told the BBC: "I am looking to be ready to fight again in February of next year."
