Ezekiel Brinsly Reid Brook, perhaps a mouthful, but thankfully you know him as Kell Brook, the current IBF welterweight champion. Recently, Brook took to the BBC airwaves and challenged his rival, Amir Khan, who is not a champ (as Brook points out) to face him and prove to the world who the "real king of England is".
Regarding a showdown with his domestic rival,
Brook stated on BBC radio:
"Let's see who the real king of England is, even though we all know it is me. I am a world champion, he's not."
Brook (also known to fans as Special K) went on to add:
"I want to put this to bed. I know what will happen in the fight."
A fight with Khan would sell well on both sides of the pond (USA and England), but Khan seems content on chasing down a fight with Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. and has never shown any interest or balls to face off against Brook. At least at this time in Khan's career, you can't blame him if he is avoiding Brook because he seems likely to be Mayweather's next dance partner... and you can't blame him for wanting "Money" before "Special K". However, should the unlikely event happen that Khan does not win the Mayweather sweepstakes... then he has no excuse to keep avoiding Brook.
