Holy sh!t Truthfully, those were the first words I said to myself when Floyd Mayweather Jr. on a SHOWTIME special (aired last night) admitted he wants his next fight against Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather stated on last night's broadcast: "We want the fight, we are ready. Let's make it happen on May 2. Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao. Let's do it."
So what's the hold up been all this time? Mayweather says he is not pulling a duck or a dodge, but does blame rival promoter Bob Arum as the reason:
"I am not ducking or dodging any opponent. Bob Arum is stopping the fight.
Of course, have we heard this one countless times before? Mayweather added:
"I wanted that fight a long time ago and I am just waiting on them."
You know, I want to believe, just as you want to pinch yourself to make sure this isn't a dream... however, that being said, I'm not holding my breath and I'll believe it when I see it .. but this has to be somewhat of a good sign, right? Let's keep our fingers crossed.
