By now you've been made aware of the horrible crime in which Anthony Crolla had his skull fractured and broke his ankle in incident involving two burglars at his neighbor's house. The fear is that Crolla may never be able to fight again.
Recently quoted in the media, Amir Khan spoke out on what this could mean for the promising career of Crolla.
"When you have suffered something that bad, you have to understand the (British Boxing Board of Control) might not give him a license," stated Khan, who added: "It is very dangerous, is it worth that risk?"
Khan stressed that more important than the game was health.
"We fighters, even me in his position, would want to fight again, but sometimes you have to think of your health first."
Crolla was set to challenge for the WBA world title vs. Richar Abril in January. For obvious reason, the fight has been cancelled.
We hope Crolla gets well soon and wish him the kind of health that allows him to continue fighting for his title dreams.
