Amir Khan is devastated upon learning that Anthony Crolla was significantly hurt in a robbery and that his title hopes have been put on hold. Crolla suffered a broken ankle and fractured skull when two burglars broke into a neighbor's house. He was due to fight for the WBA title against Richar Abril next month.
Quoted in the media, regarding what happened to Crolla, Khan was devastated, stating: "I'm very upset to hear about what happened and it's a very sad to see that he is in this position."
Khan added:
"He was touching distance away from winning a world title. Every fighters dream is to win a world title and obviously he can't do that now."
Our hearts and prayers go out to Crolla. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can continue to chase for a title.
