With the end of the year ringing in, there are a lot of awards to pass around. Some of them are even worth mentioning, such as the case with Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated (CNN.com) and his choice for Boxing promoter of the year.
Mannix's choice for Boxing Promoter of the Year: Oscar De La Hoya. - This choice is worthy for sure. Hard not to agree with Mannix!

De La Hoya has been in the shadows of his own company, Golden Boy Promotions... however with the ugly break-up that this year saw Richard Schaefer leave as CEO... it truly seems as if De La Hoya is back on the Golden Brick road.
