HBO Boxing cuts ties with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions

Steve Kim tweets HBO - Golden Boy split.

Twitter has just gone into overdrive with breaking news I read from Boxing scribe Steve Kim, that HBO has made the decision to no longer buy fights from Oscar De La Hoya's company, Golden Boy Promotions. In a recent tweet, posted just moments ago, Kim of MaxBoxing.com stated that his sources have confirmed the spit. You can bet that the twitter-sphere went into over drive after Kim's tweets.

Here is what Kim tweeted: "Sources confirm that HBO has made a decision to no longer buy fights from Golden Boy Promotions moving forward.... #boxing.

So yeah, they are out of the Broner business, along with everyone else under that banner at Golden Boy... .

So look for Broner-Malignaggi to end up on Showtime, I guess. Wow, I didn't think HBO would go THAT far."
