By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. "The Fantastic Fury". Go ahead, quote me on that! Because that's my nickname for not only Tyson Fury, but the whole team, which in my book includes Peter Fury (trainer and uncle to Tyson) and new on the pro boxing scene, Hughie Fury (Peter's son). Now Tyson and Peter have been making waves in Britain for some time, and the turbulence has finally in a furious way (pardon my pun) rocked the shores of America.
In his recent column for ESPN, veteran boxing analyst, Steve Bunce had this to say about Tyson and his new found American presence amongst the fans. Bunce writes: "One fighter that is carving a specialist niche for himself in America is Tyson Fury - and crazily I believe that he could be just one win away from becoming arguably the fourth biggest boxer in the world behind Floyd Mayweather Jr, (Manny) Pacquiao and Adrien Broner. He's a heavyweight for starters and that is crucial for profile".
That one win away that Bunce is referring to is Tyson's upcoming fight, his American debut on 20 April at Madison Square Garden against a very tough challenger in Steve "USS" Cunningham... And should Tyson keep winning and impressing, I am sure no one will be calling Bunce crazy for suggesting Fury is well on his way to the top of the heap.
