Exclusive: Frank Warren's message & warning to Ricky Burns & Eddie Hearn

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. I pick no sides because I have no idea if Ricky Burns was in the right to leave Frank Warren in favor of rival promoter, Eddie Hearn. For one, I have never seen the contract with Burns and Warren, and for two, even if I did (see the contract), I am not a lawyer... I'd have no clue. In an exclusive interview with our friends at SecondsOut.com, that is exactly the point Warren stressed regarding the split that saw Burns leave for Hearn (Matchroom Boxing.) Warren is also confident he will prevail on the winning side of this dispute.
In the exclusive interview, Warren had a message and warning to Burns, stating: "What Ricky Burns has done is wrong, and I'd say to Ricky Burns 'That it's all very well that Eddie Hearn has said that he has seen that contract that I've got with him, and he's satisfied that he thinks the contract is done and dusted, but he is not a lawyer'".
