Leonard Ellerbe and Floyd Mayweather Jr
When Genaro Hernandez passed away earlier this month, Floyd Mayweather Jr. stood up quietly to pay the funeral costs. It wasn't really reported in the news because Mayweather did this act of kindness in private. Word started to slowly leak out.

Quoted recently on ESPN, Adviser and longtime friend of Mayweather's, Leonard Ellerbe confirmed the rumors circulating, and stated that Mayweather had indeed covered the costs of the great Hernandez.

It was something Mayweather did quietly. Ellerbe stated on ESPN: "Quietly, he took care of it. As soon as he found out about it, he called and asked me to find out the details so he could help out."

Hernandez was a true legend. Loved by all fans, he passed away on June 7th after a three year battle with cancer. He was 45.
