Arum on why Mayweather vs Ortiz has him worried for Pacquiao vs Marquez

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing - Let's face it, as far as Pay-per-view Boxing goes, Manny Pacquiao is a sure bet with his drawing power. This weekend he faces for the third time, Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez. The fight goes down at the MGM Grand in Vegas and airs on HBO-PPV.

Ahead of the clash, Promoter Bob Arum (who represents this weekend's card and Manny Pacquiao) is worried that the last PPV, in which Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Victor Ortiz by what many consider a cheap shot, has left a bad taste in the mouths of PPV buyers.

In a recent interview conducted by Gareth A. Davies for the Telegraph (UK), Arum spoke out on his fears that Mayweather's recent performance might create a backlash amongst Pay-per-view buyers.

Arum told the British publication: "The Mayweather fight (vs. Victor Ortiz), because of the way it transpired, left such a bad taste in people's mouths that they may, as a reaction, decide not to buy this fight (Pacquiao vs. Marquez III). That's what I'm worried about."
