On Saturday, April 19, Joe Calzaghe takes on Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas. You can catch the live telecast on HBO’s World Championship Boxing starting at 9:45 p.m. ET/ 6:45 p.m. PT. With the highly anticipated fight almost upon us, many experts have rung in their views on the fight. One such expert is Lennox Lewis, the retired Heavyweight champ and HBO ringside analyst. Through a media release, Lennox Lewis gave his thoughts on the challenge of traveling to a fight.

Lewis feels the distance Calzaghe must travel will be an advantage for Hopkins. “It is an advantage for Hopkins and an issue for Calzaghe because he has never traveled for a fight." said Lewis, adding: "Now he actually has to travel, get readjusted, stay for quite awhile in a brand new environment. That has to have some kind of effect on you because you have never done it before."

Lewis feels some boxers can adjust and isn't counting Calzaghe out. "All of a sudden this is you, the whole world is focused on you. You are not at home anymore, your fans are traveling," stated Lewis, then adding: "Some boxers can adjust and some boxers can’t, we are going to have to see whether he can make the adjustment or not."
