By Johnny Benz, DoghouseBoxing.com (Feb 2, 2009)
This past Saturday Night, Floyd Mayweather Jr held a pre-Super Bowl bash in Ybor City, Florida. At his Party the BBC UK caught up with the retired champ and asked Mayweather Jr. if he was willing to return to boxing and give Ricky Hatton a rematch?
BBC Sport Editor Mihir Bose met with Floyd Mayweather ahead of Superbowl XLIII in Phoenix. Mayweather Jr. refusing to answer, dodged Bose's question in regards to a rematch with Hatton.
There has been plenty of speculation that a rematch with Hatton could persuade Mayweather Jr. from coming out of retirement. Along with Hatton's name, Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao are also namesthat are being thrown out at Mayweather.
Hatton's next fight is against Manny Pacquiao this coming May 2nd. If Hatton gets by Pacquiao, he has repeatedly called out for a rematch with Mayweather Jr.
