By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. - Nathan Cleverly understands why Ricky Hatton would make a comeback to Boxing.  Although Cleverly was a little surprised that Hatton wants to return, he can understand why because his last fight was a devastating loss to Manny Pacquiao... not really the kind of note a boxer wants to go out on.

Speaking to Sky's Ringside, Cleverly stated: "I was surprised but I can understand as well why he (Hatton) would want to come back after going out on a devastating defeat in his last fight. So he wants to go out on a high and I can see his intentions."

I can totally agree with that way of thinking.  Most Boxers do not want to end their career lying on their back in the middle of the ring.

Cleverly added: "It can be done I think, having a break from the sport mentally and physically and freshening up. I can understand why a fighter would do that, taking a break from a sport that he has dedicated all his life to. If he has got that buzz back I think why not? So I think go for it."

Myself, I always thought Hatton quit a little too soon.  I am actually glad he is coming back.  Hatton was always one of my favorite boxers to watch.
