By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao? It's a question that has been
on the minds of Boxing fans for years. As time passes on, the only
thing that seems certain is that these two are nowhere closer to a fight
than they were when the idea first surfaced.
Recently Mayweather's Boxing advisor, Leonard
Ellerbe told The L.A. Times that basically the only way the fight will
happen is if his side dictates the terms. Ellerbe stated : "Manny
Pacquiao can't tell Floyd Mayweather @#$@. If and when the fight takes
place, Floyd will dictate the terms."
Think about
that for a second? Team Mayweather wants to diminish Pacquiao's value
at ever corner of the negotiating table. What other respectful
conclusion can you come up with when you see Ellerbe quoted this way?
Talk like that tells you the mind set here. I honestly can not see how
both sides can ever come to terms when one team is beating on its chest like their side is the only 800 pound Gorilla in the room.
