Quoted by Sky Sports, Arum stated: "There's certainly been discussions with him (Amir Khan) but I wouldn't say he's the front-runner." The front-runner now is Lucas Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs). Arum believes that Matthysse is an exciting guy and who has had plenty of exposure. Regarding Pacquiao vs. Matthysse, Arum stated: "It would be a very exciting match." Arum added that he would make the fight at a catchweight of 144-pounds. Matthysse must first get past former WBC International Super Lightweight Champion Viktor "The Iceman" Postol (27-0, 11 KOs).
