David Price's shocking Confession on Lack of Drug testing Blood

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. Drugs in sports, you know it's not just a problem in Boxing. Of
course being that Boxing is a sport in which the combatants beat on each
other... it's probably best that we strive hard as humanly possible
to ensure our fighters are on a level the equates to a clean playing
field. We don't need no stinking steroids. So imagine my surprise when
heavyweight David Price recently confided that he has never had a random
blood test taken since turning pro. Urine test, yes, but blood-work, no.
Speaking to the BBC (a UK based media outlet), Price stated: "I haven't been randomly tested since I turned pro."
Price
added: "Not once in three-and-a-half years. I have had urine tests
before title fights, but I'd like to see more random blood testing."
To
me, there is no excuse that blood testing for steroids and other banned
substances is not conducted in random intervals on a regular basis, and I am glad that Price
is using his voice to shed some light on such a dark issue.
