Oscar De La Hoya speaks out on latest Boxing Rumor

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. Some websites and boxing writers speculated earlier this week that through some of Oscar De La Hoya's tweets, he was considering a comeback. I for one never for a second thought or speculated this to be true. Turns out I was correct.

Recently speaking to BoxingScene, De La Hoya confronted the rumors and speculation head on and denied there would be any comeback. "I wish I could (make a comeback to boxing)" stated De La Hoya, adding: "Seriously. Look, I love training and I'm actually even hitting the heavy bag, working out and this and that. I love boxing... and it hurts me deep down inside that I can't. I just can't."

De La Hoya added: "I wake up every single morning thinking, 'Maybe today, maybe I turned back the clock and maybe I can!' But I can't, I can't do it. And it hurts me."

So there you have it folks. There will be no De La Hoya comeback.
