Manny Pacquiao speaks out on Ricky Hatton's return to Boxing

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. Ricky 'Hitman' Hatton, after years of being out of the game, returns on Nov. 24th to face off against Vyacheslav Senchenko. A lot of people have given their views on Hatton's return to boxing.  One such person who recently gave his feelings on a Hatton return is Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao speaking to the Daily Express (a UK based media publication), does not feel making a return is such a good idea.  "I do not think it is a good idea to come back once a fighter has retired," stated Pacquiao on Hatton's return. Pacquiao added: "It’s not something I plan on doing".

Pacquiao added some reasoning behind his views. "I know how hard it is to get back into good boxing shape after being out of the training camp for only three or four months," stated Pacquiao, adding: "I cannot imagine what it is like after a number of years."

Although the choice of a return would not be a viable choice for Pacquiao, he still respects Hatton's decision to return to boxing. "This is Ricky’s decision to make and I respect him for it," said Pacquiao.

My personal thought are that while I agree with much of what Pacquiao said, I have come to the conclusion that I will reserve my judgement on Hatton's comeback until after his return bout this weekend.  Hatton is his own man, and like Pacquiao, I too respect his choice to make a comeback.
