Manny Pacquiao's wife Jinkee breaks her silence on KO Loss

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. If you are like me, then a good part of you was seriously worried for Manny Pacquiao when Juan Manuel Marquez knocked him out at the end of round 6. As bad as I felt for the downed warrior, I can only imagine what his family was going through. His beautiful wife Jinkee, who was at ringside, certainly showed a face of fear and concern for her husband. You can't blame her one bit. Until now, I had not heard from Jinkee on her thoughts as she saw her husband lying face first and motionless. Recently quoted by USA Today, Jinkee broke her silence on the matter.

Speaking to the publication, Jinkee stated: "It's the first time I've seen him like that, lying on the canvas, and I was scared.'' Jinkee says she started screaming at ringside and crying and did not stop until boxing promoter Bob Arum consoled her.

Jinkee does not feel her husband is washed up and can continue fighting, but she feels he has nothing left to prove in the sport and would like him to retire. She also shared her fears that boxers risk their lives and she doesn't want Pacquiao to risk his health further.

"I know he is still (capable) of fighting," stated Jinkee, adding: "But for me there is nothing to prove. He already has eight (title) belts. He can retire... stop...at anytime. I want him to stop now. But he is the one who has the last say. Boxers risk their lives; (some) end up in wheelchairs. I don't want that to happen to Manny.''
