Bernard Hopkins on what Street People hound him For the Most

Bernard Hopkins who is proud of his Philly roots, plays an active role in his community, helping out when he can. He has taken time out to speak with kids in local schools and In May, Hopkins will deliver 400 meals to the homeless in Philadelphia.

In a recent article by Ashley Fox for Philly.com, Hopkins admits he doesn't frequent North Philly for fun. Hopkins says he doesn't go to North Philly because he doesn't want the people there to think
he's flaunting his wealth and success.

When he does go to North Philly, Hopkins states that people constantly hound him for cash.

Quoted by the publication, Hopkins stated in regards to the people on the streets who hound him for money: "If I had my checkbook and I wrote out every check from small to big to the people who asked me for something or insinuated something, I'd be done." Hopkins added: "I'd have to fight again.
