David Haye vs Bernard Hopkins? Haye speaks Out
By Johnny Benz (April 5, 2010) Doghouse Boxing
The popularity of WBA Heavyweight Champion David Haye is growing in leaps and bounds. Haye's name is popping up everywhere and this Saturday after Bernard Hopkins defeated Roy Jones Jr. with a unanimous decision, Hopkins stated he wanted to move up to heavyweight and fight David Haye.

Of course Haye heard Hopkins' request, but Haye isn't biting. Speaking on BBC radio, Haye admitted Hopkins is one of his idols. "Bernard Hopkins is one of my idols," stated Haye on the Radio.

Haye does not seem the least bit interested in fighting Hopkins, because Haye feels Hopkins is only looking for a payday. "I think he (Hopkins) just wants a big payday," stated Haye, adding: "...to fight for the heavyweight championship of the world he can demand big money."
