Boxing Result: Evander Holyfield defeats Frans Botha to win Heavyweight Title

Evander Holyfeild has won the WBF Heavyweight Championship title on Saturday night after knocking down Frans Botha in the 8th round. Botha got up but the fight was called off moments after the knock down.

At the time of the stoppage, 2 of the ringside judges had scored the fight slightly in favor of Botha with identical scores of 67-66. The 3rd judge had a score favoring Holyfield of 69-64.

With the victory, Holyfield's professional record improves 43-10-2, with 28 KOs. Botha's professional record drops to 47-5-3.

After the fight, Holyfield once again proved there was no quit in him, stating: "I'm going to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world."
