Boxing Result: Antonio Margarito defeats Roberto Garcia

Antonio Margarito returned to the boxing ring on Saturday night at La Plaza de Toros Monumental in Aguascalientes, Mexico and defeated Roberto Garcia with a 10rd unanimous decision. It was Margarito's first action since being suspended back in early 2009 for illegal hands wraps.

The fight was really never in question as Margarito controlled the action and even scored a knock down in the first round. During the course of the action, Garcia was penalized 2 points. Referee Guadalupe Garcia deducted a point from Garcia for a headbutt in the 8th round and took another point taken away for a low blow in the 10th.

The Judges at ringside scored the fight, 100-88, 99-90 and 99-89. Margarito's professional improved to 38-6, with 27 KO's. Garcia's professional record drops to 28-3 with 21 KO's.
