Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao Best In Boxing? SportingLife Gets it Right with New Top 10
By Johnny Benz (May 14, 2010) Doghouse Boxing
I've said it since Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. made his comeback and thoroughly out boxed Juan Manuel Marquez, he's our Pound for Pound best in Boxing. Still all media outlets had Manny Pacquiao as pound for pound best. After "Money" Mayweather's latest bout, one in which he thoroughly out boxed "Sugar" Shane Mosley, more and more are coming around to who is the true pound for pound best.

Sporting Life UK, a publication which does an excellent job covering boxing (amongst other sports), has recently updated
their Pound for Pound list, and no longer at the top spot is "Pacman" Pacquiao. The number one spot... you guessed it... it now belongs to "Money" Mayweather Jr. Rightfully so I should add.

The top 5 in Sportinglife.com pound-for-pound world top 10 is Miguel Cotto in at number 5, followed by Bernard Hopkins in at 4. Juan Manuel Marquez now sits at 3rd, and as I stated above, "Pacman" Pacquiao at number 2, and "Money" Mayweather ranked number 1.

The full top 10 by SportingLife.com is as follows:

1 - Floyd Mayweather Jr
2 - Manny Pacquiao
3 - Juan Manuel Marquez
4 - Bernard Hopkins
5 - Miguel Cotto
6 - Chad Dawson
7 - Shane Mosley
8 - Paul Williams
9 - Juan Manuel Lopez
10 - Yuriorkis Gamboa
