On Saturday at Upton Park, reportedly 15,000 - 20,000 fellow east Londoners packed the home of West Ham United Football Club, to witness Michael Katsidis prove to be too much for Kevin Mitchell to handle. Katsidis turned up the heat in the third round and unleashed a barrage of punches that ended the action with 2 minutes in, giving Katsidis a technical knockout in their WBO interim lightweight title bout.

According to reports from ringside, Mitchell ate two devastating left hooks early in the third, while trying to keep himself
composed, he was hit hard again with a left.

With only a minute left in the third round, Referee controlling the action, Dave Parris had seen enough and stopped the fight as Katsidis was still throwing punches that were going unanswered. Katsidis was controlling and dominating all the action during the whole fight.
