After Saturday night's super impressive victory for Manny Pacquiao, who defeated Miguel Cotto with a 12th round TKO, Pacquiao needed medical attention on his ear. Pacquiao who showed up at post fight conference with a gauze bandaged ear, needed to have a Doctor drain the blood from his ear so it would not cauliflower.

In an interview playing today (See link below) conducted by Doghouse Boxing's very own David Tyler with legendary trainer Freddie Roach, Tyler asks Roach on the condition of Pacquiao's ear. Roach tells Doghouse Boxing: "It’s fine,
we took him to the Doctor to have it drained so it wouldn’t cauliflower."

What is a Cauliflower ear? Here is an excerpt from Wiki: Cauliflower ear (also hematoma auris, perichondrial hematoma, and Traumatic auricular hematoma[1]) is a condition most common among boxers, amateur wrestlers, rugby players, mixed martial artists, and grapplers. If the external portion of the ear suffers a blow, a blood clot or other fluid may collect under the perichondrium. This separates the cartilage from the overlying perichondrium that is its source of nutrients, causing the cartilage to die. This leads to a formation of fibrous tissue in the overlying skin. When this happens, the outer ear becomes permanently swollen and deformed, resembling a cauliflower.
