Joe Calzaghe speaks out on Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr By Johnny Benz (Nov 20, 2009) Doghouse Boxing
Joe Calzaghe is very impressed with Manny Pacquiao, as well as Pacquiao's thrilling 12th round TKO of Miguel Cotto this past Saturday. In recent a column penned by Calzaghe for the South Wales Argus, Calzaghe discussed amongst many things the fight everyone wants, Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Calzaghe is so impressed with Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr., that he finds it hard to pick between the both of them as to who is the true Pound for Pound King. Calzaghe writes in his Column: " I am so impressed with him (Pacquiao), he
just gets better and better and now I think it’s tough to say whether it’s Manny or Floyd Mayweather is the pound-for-pound king."
Calzaghe believes that a fight between the two should be made in 2010 and that if Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn't end up fighting Manny Pacquiao over some issue like money, then Calzaghe feels Mayweather Jr. should just retire.
In recent times both Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. have expressed their willingness to face one another.
