Boxing Promoter Frank Warren isn't shy with words and even knows how to be pretty damn funny when handing out some stinging insults. In a recent column penned by Warren for the Sun UK, Warren took some time out to poke some light fun at Roy Jones Jr and Dmitriy Salita. Salita recently lost to one of Warren's fighters, Amir Khan by getting KO'ed in the first round. Warren also dissed Ricky Hatton, a fighter he use to promote but had a falling out with.
In regards to Jones Jr. and Salita, Warren wrote: "Roy Jones Jr. was knocked out in the first round by Danny Green in their IBO cruiserweight clash in Sydney. Jones promotes Dmitriy Salita, who says he wants to follow in the footsteps of the eight-time world champ in four divisions. He certainly did last Saturday - but not in the way he would have hoped!"
And if that wasn't a funny enough Diss for ya!...
Warren was a little harder on Hatton. Warren dissed Hatton who is known to get out of shape between fights, by stating: "Ricky Hatton liked a waxwork of himself on display in Blackpool so much he has ordered a replica for his house. At least that one will always be in shape." No offense to Hatton...but I found that line by Warren to be bloody funny as hell.
If Warren had a stand up comedy routine... I'd show up for the sh!ts and giggles!
