Time Magazine has published their 2009 list of the top 25 people who mattered. It's a prestigious list that certainly isn't easy to get on. This year's lists include loads of actors, entertainers, Politicians, sports figures and more.

Our guy, Manny Pacquiao made the list and placed well amongst some pretty significant names. Names such as Barack Obama, The President of the United States and John McCain's running mate and a powerhouse in her own rights, Sarah Palin.

Time Magazine placed Pacquiao's importance at number 13 in the top 25. Folks, that puts Pacquiao's importance in the middle of Barack Obama's and Sarah Palin's. Obama scored 12th place on the list, followed by Pacquiao at 13th spot and Palin taking the 14th position. Talk about impressive for our man Pacquiao. Not too bad for a kid who grew up dirt poor!

Time magazine gave the top spot to Neda Agha-Soltan, the Iranian student who's death made headlines around the world.

Here is a quick excerpt from Wikipedia on Neda's death: "The footage of the death of Neda Agha-Soltan (1982 – June 20, 2009) drew international attention after she was killed during the 2009 Iranian election protests. Her death was captured on video by bystanders and broadcast over the Internet and the video became a rallying point for the reformist opposition.
