Last week during his birthday celebrations, Manny Pacquiao in front of the 1500 in attendance, told the festival crowd that God had appeared to him once and spoke directly to him. After telling the crowd on hand about his Godly visit, they burst into in applause, and Pacquiao quickly reaffirmed to them in his words, "That is true".
In the conversation with God, who approached Pacquiao before he was famous, the Lord told him to have faith in him and he would provide Pacquiao with strength and power.
At his birthday party last week in the Philippines, Pacquiao who was quoted by the media (inquirer.net), stated in regards to his visit from God: "In my 31 years here on earth, God appeared to me once and told me to have unconditional faith in Him." In return God was offering Pacquiao "strength and power." Pacquiao added to his statement, saying that he was not popular or a recognized world champion when God appeared to him and also stated that the Lord told him to trust him and he would not abandon Pacquiao.
Fans of Pacquiao know that his love for God is super strong. After each victory, Pacquiao looks upwards to the Heavens and you can tell he is thanking God, and there is love in his eyes (just look at the photo by our German Villasenor at the top of this page). If there is one thing stronger than Pacquiao's chin and punches, it is his love for God.
Right now Pacquiao and his team are in negotiations for a proposed March 13th fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr, to be shown on HBO Pay-Per-View.
