Oscar De La Hoya's powerhouse company "Golden Boy Promotions" is negotiating on behalf of "Money" Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the proposed March 13th date to face off against Manny Pacquiao. So with obvious connetions to negotiations, De La Hoya knows what is going on in the background and not known to the public.
Today, De La Hoya speaking with ESPN stated in regards to the proposed Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr. HBO Pay-Per-View event, that the deal is not done, but mega event more than likely will be held at the "MGM Garden" in Las
Vegas, Nevada and not the brand new 1.2 billion dollar "Dallas Cowboys Stadium" in Arlington, Texas.
Oscar De La Hoya speaking directly to ESPN on Monday, tells the publication in regards to a venue that MGM Grand looks like the place the event will be held at: "There is no other place you really want to do a big event," said De La Hoya in reference to the MGM Grand. De La Hoya went on to add: "It has to be in Las Vegas. But there is nothing 100% yet." De La Hoya went on to state there is no deal until it is signed, and that hasn't happened as of yet. "A done deal is a signed deal and there is no signed deal," said De La Hoya.
