Boxing Result: Yuriorkis Gamboa defeats Jose Rojas

On Friday night at Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino at Primm, Nevada, Yuriorkis Gamboa defeated Jose Rojas with a 10th round stoppage. With his victory, Gamboa (15-0, 13 KOs) captures the vacant WBA interim featherweight title
From the opening rounds Gamboa proved to be a handful for Rojas. Utilizing his speed, Gamboa seemed to land combination at will. Gamboa did so much damage that by the 4th round Rojas' right eye was
swollen.
The 5th round saw Rojas hit the canvas in a flash knock down after being hit with a shot to his chest. The whole fight played out with as a bad mis-match. By the 10th round the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight.
