Boxing Result: Anselmo Moreno defeats Mahyar Monshipour

Poitiers, France - In Boxing results, Anselmo Moreno keeps his WBA bantamweight title after defeating Mahyar Monshipour by way of split decision.

According to reports from ringside, Moreno of Panama had to deal with the skillful Monshipour of France throughout the bout and especially during the latter rounds of 8 through 10 in which Monshipour turned up the heat.

Two of the judges scored the bout in favor of Moreno with scores of 116-113 and 116-112, the 3rd Judge scored the fight for Monshipour, giving the fighter a score of 115-113.

With the victory Moreno's record now stands at 26-1-1. Monshipour's record drops to 31-4. More to follow.
